Jamie and Dan work as National Forest Service firefighters, and they love hiking, camping and all things outdoors. That’s one of the reasons they chose Historic Cedarwood for their destination wedding. When we suggested taking the ceremony across the creek to the wildflower meadow for a unique setting in nature, they were all for it! Jamie recalls her favorite wedding day memory, “As I waited to cross the creek to the nature preserve, I heard the banjo and fiddle mixed with birdsong and sounds of the babbling stream. I wanted so badly to dip my toes in the water and take in the freshness of the land around me. I knew I was where I was supposed to be! I practically leaped over the creek bed as the bluegrass vocal rendition of “You are my Sunshine” spilled into the air. It was magical.”
I was lucky enough to be apart of this beautiful day and help style this incredible intimate wedding with the Historic Cedarwood team.
